Sahel Heat

On this fabulous commission, we were able to dive into and be inspired by the beautiful, diverse Sahel Region of Africa.

From where the bed stands, you get to see the coastline in one direction, a distant casbah and palm forests, the mountains as well as the expansive soothing desert. That's the beauty of painting directly on the wall - no repeat patterns anywhere. Every corner a different view.

It was tricky as there are two parts in this room - like a suite - bed and small living room. Dividing the spaces is a natural arch - which we transformed into a classic Marrakesh decorated archway.
